A note on tires. The rules for kid karts limit the size and even tire pressure allowed. Why, because the tires, especially the rear tires, can have a dramatic effect on your kart's performance. Please call to let us know how your kart is presently equipped to see if changing tires will help you with your situation.
Jex Manufacturing's Float-LockTM Sprocket Hub

This
item is a must for use on kid karts. Since you are not working
with
much horsepower in the kid kart class, you can not afford to waste any
of it.
We
had the opportunity to test this product on a Rotax Max powered kart at
Beaverun and were convinced that this is the best sprocket hub on
the
market and it really frees up the drive train. This hub restores
horsepower that would otherwise be lost through drive
train bind-up.
Patent pending, interlocking collar design
allows the hub to float and oscillate with only one
collar.
CNC machined from billet 6061 aluminum.
Rotating weight is reduced. Hub and collar weighs only 7.2 oz (1-1/4”).
Presently
available for 1-1/4" , 30mm and 40mm axles.
50mm
anticipated some time during the summer of 2005.
Up to .030” of float for accurate compensation of chassis flex and chain bind.
Built in option eliminates float with one bolt.
Plated hardware supplied for good looks and corrosion
protection.
Utilizes standard sprockets for 219 or 35 chain.
